Role Overview

This role demands a driven professional to expertly prepare high-quality pricing and detailed proposal packages for commercial electrical projects, varying in complexity and scale. The successful candidate will interpret client needs, devise profitable and value-driven solutions, and adhere to Gerrie's proven quotation procedures, ensuring prompt, accurate, and comprehensive bids that comply with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess project feasibility in partnership with designated Branches.
• Formulate and implement cost-focused bidding strategies for selected projects.
• Collaborate with preferred vendors to identify the most cost-efficient solutions aligned with specifications.
• Work alongside Gerrie teams to price additional items essential for bid completeness.
• Aggregate and analyze vendor quotations to select optimal project fit in coordination with Branch or Account Managers.
• Calculate comprehensive project costs, establish suitable margins, and engage in bid closings with contractors per strategy.
• Perform follow-ups and efficiently address project-related inquiries as defined by bid plans.
• Ensure the delivery of impeccable, fully documented quotes/proposals to Project Coordinators or Managers following internal procedures.
• Serve as an ongoing resource for Project Coordinators throughout project execution post-order placement.
• Respond professionally and promptly to customer questions and requests.
• Deliver project quotations methodically and on schedule.
• Support Branches with project-specific product inquiries and provide sourcing recommendations.
• Function as a communication conduit between customers and sales to resolve payment delays.
• Foster a collaborative team environment and address employee concerns effectively.

Required Qualifications and Attributes

• Diploma from a technical college and a minimum of two years' experience in the electrical industry.
• Solid understanding of electrical products, distribution networks, and industry norms.
• Competency in reading and interpreting single-line diagrams, construction plans, and lighting designs.
• Strong skills in communication, mathematics, organization, and managing time effectively.
• Attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
• Customer-oriented, disciplined, and possessing a sales-driven approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PDF tools; familiarity with JD Edwards software is beneficial.
• Established connections with manufacturers and contractors are advantageous.
• Technical expertise in electrical distribution products and system solutions preferred.
