About Fortivum and Role Overview
Fortivum is an engineering consultancy headquartered in Dublin, specializing in client-side services for hyperscale and mission-critical data center projects throughout Europe. We offer expertise in Project Management, Construction Management, Cost Management, and Design spanning the entire project lifecycle. Currently, we are looking for a skilled Project Planner / Scheduler to contribute to one of our major European data center projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and update comprehensive project schedules utilizing Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
- Incorporate and align design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover tasks within the programme.
- Manage programme sequencing, logic, dependencies, and maintain critical path integrity.
- Analyze and critique contractor-generated programmes and their progress updates.
- Generate detailed weekly and monthly reports, dashboards, and forward-looking schedules.
- Detect scheduling risks, project delays, and propose recovery strategies.
- Assist with change management, delay assessments, and evaluations for extensions of time.
- Facilitate coordination among diverse disciplines and stakeholders to align programme interfaces.
- Ensure accurate documentation of programme data and contribute to project control procedures.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated experience as a Project Planner, Scheduler, or Project Controls Engineer on large-scale construction or engineering ventures.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 scheduling software.
- Familiarity with scheduling activities across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Strong grasp of critical path methodologies, programme logic, and techniques for analyzing delays.
- Experience reviewing contractor schedules and managing input from multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting abilities.
- Adept at functioning effectively in dynamic project and construction environments.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Background in data centre, mission-critical, or advanced high-tech construction projects.
- Experience working in client-facing or consultancy roles.
- Knowledge of schedule-risk analysis, earned value management, and support for claims.
- Exposure to commissioning, energisation, and phased project handovers.
- Proficiency in Spanish or additional European languages.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction, or project management fields.
Location and Working Conditions
This position is based on a significant European data centre project. Precise location and work arrangements will be determined during recruitment. Occasional site visits and travel are required.
