- A relevant tertiary or trade qualification in engineering, project management, or a related technical area, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with applicable AS/NZS standards and experience in regulated technical or operational settings.
- Strong skills in communication, influencing, and relationship management.
- Commercial acumen with the capability to balance safety, quality, costs, timelines, and stakeholder needs.
Electrical engineering background is preferred, particularly with exposure to high-voltage systems, energy sectors, utilities, industrial or infrastructure projects. Experience with commissioning, testing, operational readiness, and project handover will be advantageous.
Benefits and Perks
- An additional five MyDays (leave days) per year.
- A one-time $400 tax-free payment to assist with home office setup.
- Exclusive discounts on electricity and telecommunications bills for Mercury customers.
- A diverse and inclusive workplace that values unique talents and abilities.
- Annual salary reviews and generous parental leave policies, including options to purchase additional leave.
- Career development opportunities with one of New Zealand's largest multi-utility providers.
- Flexible working arrangements allowing autonomy and trust to work from office or home.
- Discounted health insurance, plus free life and income protection insurance.
- Comprehensive wellbeing programmes, including up to $100 annually for health check-ups and confidential assistance.
- Inclusive leave provisions such as gender affirmation leave and supportive bereavement leave that includes loss of pets.
