Role Overview

This role is centered on leading nuclear-sector projects in Saudi Arabia, guiding them from kickoff to completion while adhering to strict international standards and the controls expected in highly regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of nuclear projects, from initial planning through final closeout, ensuring delivery against the required industry benchmarks and regulatory obligations.
  • Maintain alignment with applicable national regulators, government instructions where relevant, and recognized standards for workplace safety, quality, and technical compliance, including ISO, ASME, ANSI, and nuclear QA systems.
  • Work closely with engineering teams, contractors, utilities, and regulatory stakeholders so that project goals, licensing needs, and safety expectations stay coordinated.
  • Build and actively manage schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and risk-response strategies for large and technically demanding projects.
  • Draft technical summaries, compliance paperwork, and progress reports for both internal management and external stakeholders.
  • Run project meetings and communicate updates clearly, including progress status, risks, open issues, and corrective measures.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Nuclear Engineering/Technology, or a closely related discipline is required; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of project management experience in nuclear energy, nuclear construction, government nuclear initiatives, or comparable regulated sectors.
  • Solid knowledge of nuclear regulatory structures, quality assurance and quality control systems, and the principles that govern nuclear safety.
  • Demonstrated success managing sizable, complex programs in tightly regulated settings while coordinating with regulators and diverse stakeholders.
