Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead sophisticated, technology-intensive projects with meticulous oversight and responsibility. The ideal candidate will bring a robust understanding of project management methodologies combined with a practical approach to applying best practices. This position demands delivering projects on schedule, within defined scopes, and budgetary limits, while upholding strict quality and compliance standards.

The Project Manager is crucial to embedding effective processes, defining operational methods, and establishing governance structures that promote consistent and sustainable project delivery. The role also calls for adapting to challenges with resilience and innovation, balancing complex technical requirements with pragmatic solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of medium to large-scale technical projects from initiation through completion, managing scope, scheduling, budget, and quality outcomes.
• Develop integrated planning frameworks including work breakdown structures, baselines, governance models, and reporting schedules; facilitate stage gate reviews.
• Lead and coordinate diverse international teams spanning engineering, operations, supply chain, finance, and commercial functions for cohesive project delivery.
• Manage stakeholders both inside and outside the organization by maintaining transparent, proactive communication, conducting reviews, and reporting on progress, risks, and decision points.
• Oversee vendor management, contractual commitments, change orders, and support contractual negotiations alongside Commercial teams.
• Control financial aspects including forecasting, cost monitoring, variance analysis, and benefit tracking to ensure project profitability aligns with targets.
• Maintain and enforce risk and change management practices with RAID frameworks, mitigation strategies, and formal scope control through change management processes.
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and compliance standards in line with regulatory, contractual, and internal requirements; manage audits and corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement by leading lessons-learned sessions and promoting structured project management methods.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of eight years managing complex engineering or technology projects, preferably in aerospace, high technology, scientific research and development environments.
• Familiarity with Capability or Acquisition lifecycle management processes.
• Strong expertise in project management frameworks including PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile, DevOps, and comprehensive project controls.
• Experienced in vendor and contract oversight, focusing on performance and compliance management.
• Advanced financial management skills covering project baselining, forecasting, cost control, milestone and Estimate at Completion (EAC) reporting.
• Proficient risk management capabilities and decisive problem solving in fast-paced, shifting priorities.
• Expertise with MS Project and enterprise-level reporting tools; adept at data-driven progress reporting.
• Academic qualifications in Engineering, Business, or Project Management with certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner preferred.
