Role Overview

The Project Manager will oversee multiple business and technology projects across MetaComp, collaborating closely with teams such as Product, Technology, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Finance, Legal, and Commercial. The role demands a structured, proactive individual capable of translating business goals into actionable project plans, managing stakeholder relationships, identifying risks and dependencies, and ensuring projects are delivered successfully within a fast-paced fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects end-to-end, from initiation and planning to execution, launch, and post-implementation reviews.
• Define clear project objectives, deliverables, milestones, timelines, resources, and success criteria.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including timelines, RAID logs, action trackers, and plans.
• Track progress to ensure timely achievement of milestones and deliverables.
• Anticipate and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and bottlenecks with appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Escalate critical matters with detailed recommendations for management decisions.
• Coordinate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders across multiple departments ensuring ownership, accountability, and alignment.
• Facilitate meetings, steering committees, and updates to maintain project momentum and communication.
• Handle diverse projects involving product launches, system integration, regulatory compliance, market expansion, and operational transformation.
• Support user acceptance testing, implementation, migration, and go-live processes as needed.
• Identify and drive improvements in business processes, workflows, systems, and overall operational efficiency.
• Establish and promote standardized project management practices, templates, and governance frameworks.
• Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and foster continuous improvement.
• Provide regular status reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior management on project health, risks, and decisions.
• Maintain governance compliance, accurate documentation, tracking KPIs, budgets, and resource allocation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of project management experience, preferably within fintech, payments, financial services, or technology sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects from start to finish.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills across various seniority levels and departments.
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the capacity to juggle multiple priorities.
• Proficient analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
• Self-driven and autonomous with an ability to manage ambiguity effectively.
• Solid knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in payments, digital assets, banking, fintech, foreign exchange, card services, or financial infrastructure.
• Background managing technology implementations or product deliveries.
• Familiarity with regulatory, compliance, AML/KYC, risk, or operational transformation projects.
• Certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, or equivalent.
• Experience collaborating with distributed or regional teams across markets.
• Knowledge of project management tools like Jira, Lark, Confluence, Notion, or Asana.
