Project Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in civil engineering to oversee major mixed-use capital projects in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large scale projects, particularly within the Arabian Gulf region, and a proven track record of delivering projects valued at QAR 100 million or more.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive project planning, oversee execution phases, and monitor progress closely to ensure timely delivery.
• Clearly define project scope, establish objectives, specify deliverables, and set realistic timelines.
• Coordinate and manage collaboration among internal departments, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare, manage, and control project budgets while forecasting costs and potential financial risks.
• Lead project teams by allocating resources prudently, delegating tasks, and resolving any conflicts or issues.
• Maintain ongoing communication with clients and key stakeholders, providing frequent project status updates.
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies, applicable industry regulations, and legal standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Implement quality control procedures and oversee risk management practices to mitigate potential problems.
• Keep comprehensive documentation and generate detailed progress reports regularly.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• More than 15 years of post-qualification professional experience.
• At least 10 years’ demonstrable experience as a Project Manager within a contracting firm.
• Proven involvement in managing major mixed-use capital projects, each valued at QAR 100 million or greater, of similar complexity and quality.
• A minimum of 10 years of project management experience specifically in the Arabian Gulf region.
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) credential is mandatory.
