Role Summary
The Project Manager serves as the central contact for assigned artists and is responsible for making sure each release and campaign is carried through accurately from kickoff to completion. This role requires fast decision-making, strong communication, organization, and the ability to adapt quickly when priorities change. The position works closely with clients, managers, and internal teams to keep deliverables, timelines, and marketing initiatives on track.
Responsibilities
- Handle client and catalog onboarding, including onboarding digital rights assets for YouTube or starting back-catalog transfers.
- Serve as the main administrative contact for artists by arranging travel and lodging, managing schedules, and keeping daily communication clear and organized.
- Collect deliverables and coordinate with artists and management on submissions and deadlines.
- Partner with accounting on royalty payouts and payments tied to marketing services.
- Manage multiple artist projects across channels, including timelines, budgets, task tracking, and next-step ownership.
- Build album marketing plans and artist development strategies, including audience targeting, activations, budget oversight, impact analysis, narrative building, and brand development.
- Oversee digital marketing activity such as audience growth across social platforms, securing premiere placements, and coordinating content assets.
- Gather and route assets among all involved departments, including A&R, radio, press, sync, licensing, executive, distribution, and management teams.
- Keep internal departments aligned so each team has the materials and direction needed to execute effectively.
- Maintain and update artist calendars, especially when management is not handling scheduling.
- Support direct-to-consumer marketing and merchandising brainstorming and execution when needed.
- Continuously look for new opportunities and value-adds for artists, such as sessions, brand collaborations, and DSP opportunities.
- Coordinate video and photo production, including director selection, treatment review, budget review, on-site execution, contract/buy-out handling, and final cut approvals.
- Help coordinate music clearances for releases where applicable and assist with music licensing opportunities.
- Take on additional duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or Music Industry.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in music or entertainment.
- Strong working knowledge of digital platforms.
- Advanced, everyday fluency with social media platforms and familiarity with social listening tools.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is USD 70,304 to 80,000. Final compensation will depend on the candidate’s experience, skills, and overall fit.
