Project Manager

About the Role

Linsco Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a reputable civil engineering and construction contractor based in Surrey. This full-time, permanent position offers a salary up to £70,000 depending on experience, along with a car allowance or company vehicle. The role requires onsite presence in Addlestone, Surrey.

The ideal candidate will have comprehensive expertise in civils and groundworks, effectively managing complex construction projects from pre-construction through to completion stages. Key technical knowledge should include reinforced concrete (RC) frames, basements, utilities connections, drainage, and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure the successful delivery of projects from mobilisation to final completion.
• Supervise site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants throughout all phases of the project.
• Plan and coordinate project timelines, resources, materials, and equipment to achieve on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Oversee civils and groundworks elements, including earthworks, drainage systems, utilities, and reinforced concrete works.
• Manage construction of RC frames and basements to meet specified quality standards and schedules.
• Liaise with statutory bodies and consultants to coordinate utility connections and related infrastructure works.
• Track project progress, control costs, maintain quality, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular progress meetings, presenting updates transparently to senior management and clients.
• Proactively identify potential challenges and implement effective solutions to maintain project timelines.
• Monitor subcontractor performance to guarantee completion of work safely, efficiently, and to required standards.
• Maintain thorough project documentation, records, and timely reporting.
• Collaborate closely with commercial and engineering teams to facilitate successful project outcomes.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated experience managing civil engineering or construction projects as a Project Manager.
• Robust hands-on experience spanning civils and groundworks.
• Familiarity with RC frame construction, basement works, and reinforced concrete structures.
• In-depth understanding of utilities, drainage systems, earthworks, and related infrastructure.
• Proven skills managing subcontractors, site teams, and various project stakeholders.
• Strong capability in project planning, programme management, and project delivery within construction environments.
• Commercial acumen with ability to monitor costs and overall project performance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Possession of relevant construction safety qualifications such as SMSTS and CSCS cards.
• Degree or equivalent experience in civil engineering is beneficial.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
