Role Overview

As a Project Manager, you will be the linchpin connecting product, engineering, and client delivery teams. Your responsibilities will include organizing and driving complex software projects to completion on schedule through diligent coordination, foresight in identifying obstacles, and ensuring accountability across stakeholders. Success depends on your ability to manage ambiguity, proactively take initiative, and deliver consistent follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Managing entire project lifecycles including scoping, planning, execution, tracking, and closure for multiple simultaneous initiatives.
• Maintaining exhaustive tracking and documentation of statuses, dependencies, and open items to ensure nothing is overlooked.
• Developing and updating detailed project plans, monitoring progress through status dashboards, RAID logs, and milestone tracking.
• Taking full ownership of project outcomes, driving tasks to completion independently, and holding team members accountable.
• Facilitating cross-functional meetings such as standups, sprint reviews, and stakeholder syncs, delivering clear results and actionable next steps.
• Identifying potential risks, dependencies, and scope creep proactively; escalating with solutions rather than just reporting problems.
• Serving as the central communication hub between engineering, QA, product, and client-facing teams.
• Coordinating resources and planning capacities across sprint cycles.
• Effectively communicating asynchronously through concise and clear status updates, Slack messages, and escalations that prompt action.
• Continuously refining project management processes, templates, and tools to boost team productivity.

Essential Qualifications

• Over 12 years of experience in project or program management within software development or technology sectors.
• Proven ability to juggle multiple projects with competing priorities concurrently.
• Proficiency with project management software such as Jira, Asana, Linear, or similar tools.
• Comprehensive understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks, including practical experience managing sprint ceremonies end-to-end.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of simplifying complex project statuses into clear, actionable reports.
• Self-motivated learner who independently acquires knowledge and skills by consulting documentation and resources.
• Exceptional organizational skills with systems in place to ensure complete task tracking and follow-through.
• Experience managing communication across different time zones, specifically between U.S. headquarters and Pune, managing asynchronous collaboration effectively.

Desirable Attributes

• PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or related certifications.
• Background in dynamic, high-growth startup environments, particularly in AI or software development companies.
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts and ability to engage in technical discussions with engineering teams.
• Experience managing client relationships alongside internal project delivery teams.
• History of creating project management frameworks and systems from the ground up.
