About the Role

Reporting directly to the Operations Head, the Project Head will spearhead the growth of Home Centre's store footprint by strategizing, planning, and executing retail expansion initiatives. This role focuses on enhancing customer engagement, optimizing store layouts, and improving sales performance through innovative store designs. Located in Bangalore, India, the position demands a strategic approach to retail project management and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set the strategic direction for new Home Centre store designs ensuring they reflect consumer needs and competitive differentiation.
  • Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of designers, architects, and project managers to meet project objectives.
  • Champion retail design innovation by integrating latest trends, technology, and best practices to create visually appealing and functional stores.
  • Collaborate with departments like Operations, Visual Merchandising, Marketing, and Finance to finalize store planning inputs.
  • Oversee store layout planning and manage fixture ordering procedures.
  • Recommend design changes aligned with global retail standards.
  • Assess architectural feasibility of new premises and manage the complete design process from concept to execution ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Maintain design standards to ensure consistency across retail projects.
  • Oversee project execution post agreement finalization, monitor schedules, resolve deviations, and ensure snag-free store handovers.
  • Define and implement maintenance processes for ongoing store upkeep.
  • Develop and manage project budgets focusing on cost-effective, quality designs; monitor expenses and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on long-term and short-term financial planning and ensure compliance.
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage vendor relationships and performance.
  • Build and nurture strong partnerships with retail vendors aligning with business strategies.
  • Foster collaborative teamwork across functions to achieve seamless business plan execution.
  • Recruit, set expectations, evaluate, and coach team members to build a high-performance culture and pipeline of talent.
