Project Engineer

Role Overview

The Project Engineer will independently manage assigned construction project sites, overseeing all operational aspects from measurement to contractor coordination and billing.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute site measurements efficiently.
• Directly liaise with contractors and subcontractors on site activities.
• Verify quantities of work completed and review contractor billing for accuracy.
• Monitor BOQ quantities, variations, and additional work identification.
• Coordinate material requirements based on site progress.
• Maintain accurate records of site measurements and project billing status.
• Report project status related to quantities and invoicing to management.
• Resolve measurement and quantity discrepancies autonomously without needing continuous supervision.

Travel Requirements

The candidate must be adaptable to frequent travel between office and various project locations. Possession of a valid driving license and readiness to travel independently is advantageous.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

• Strong expertise in Quantity Surveying including BOQ preparation.
• In-depth understanding of civil construction processes and materials.
• Proficient with MS Excel for data handling.
• Capability to interpret AutoCAD and project drawings.
• Knowledgeable in measurements, rate analysis, cost estimation, and billing of contractors.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong coordination skills for managing multiple contractors and vendors simultaneously.
• Ability to operate independently with accountability for project outcomes.
• Willingness to relocate or work at various project sites as needed.
