Role Overview

The Project Engineer - Fitout is a full-time position based in Qatar with a hybrid work format requiring both on-site presence and remote work. The engineer will oversee fitout project phases from inception to completion, managing design coordination, technical drawings, and ensuring adherence to project specifications alongside compliance with local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise site progress and conduct regular inspections to address technical challenges as they arise.
• Coordinate closely with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to maintain smooth project execution.
• Assist in project planning and scheduling, tracking materials, and resource allocation.
• Prepare and submit periodic reports and documentation reflecting project status.
• Participate actively in project meetings and contribute to value engineering initiatives.
• Enforce compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Engineering disciplines such as Civil, Architectural, Interior Design, or a related field, or equivalent technical qualifications.
• Proven project engineering experience, especially related to interior fitout and building services.
• Strong project management skills, including proficiency in planning, budgeting, and resource oversight.
• Excellent communication abilities for effective collaboration with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
• Previous exposure working on fitout projects in retail, food and beverage, office, or residential sectors within the Gulf region is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with construction standards, building codes, and health and safety regulations specific to Qatar.
• Competency in engineering and design software such as AutoCAD and project management tools like MS Project or equivalents.
• Adeptness at handling multiple projects simultaneously and flexibility to operate within a hybrid work environment adapting to evolving site and client needs.
