Role Summary

We are recruiting a seasoned Project Director focused on Planning & Scheduling to join our Infrastructure team. This role involves leading multiple high-profile Infrastructure and Defence projects, primarily in the Midlands and Central South areas, with some travel across the UK. This opportunity offers collaboration with an award-winning Planning & Scheduling team and an extensive Controls and Performance network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage complex, high-value projects with direct client engagement, while nurturing and developing team members and expanding presence in local markets.
  • Enhance and optimize Planning and Scheduling processes to improve efficiency and client benefits.
  • Cultivate interdisciplinary partnerships to maximize client outcomes.
  • Drive the growth and success of the Planning and Scheduling team through business development, resource management, and strategic planning.
  • Oversee project scope, capability delivery, and ensuring high client satisfaction.
  • Engage in senior line management duties including career development for the Planning and Scheduling teams.
  • Promote growth of project controls capability by recruiting, training, and leveraging industry experience.
  • Implement and integrate improvements in Planning and Scheduling methodologies.
  • Participate in national and regional Communities of Practice and initiatives aimed at achieving strategic objectives.
  • Deliver expert analysis and insights to stakeholders and senior management to facilitate sound decision-making.
  • Provide coaching and training to clients and junior leadership on Planning and Scheduling best practices.
  • Support national and regional campaigns targeting organizational growth, outreach, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • In-depth expertise with various Planning and Scheduling tools and techniques is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience working alongside other Project Controls disciplines is mandatory.
  • Proven track record directing Planning and Scheduling on complex projects or programmes.
  • Leadership experience overseeing large teams is required.
  • Capability to function effectively in both delivery and transformation projects.
  • Working knowledge of NEC contracts is necessary.
  • Due to Defence-specific responsibilities, candidates must be sole UK Nationals, with or able to acquire Security Clearance (SC).
