Integrated Pack House – Govindpur Facility

This modern facility developed under the Department of Horticulture, Government of Odisha, includes cold storage, pre-cooling units, ripening chambers, sorting and grading infrastructure, loading bays, and aggregation centers. Strategically located near Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, it supports cold storage and logistics for perishable goods such as fruits, vegetables, dairy, processed foods, medicines, and other temperature-sensitive products. Equipped with full genset backup and parking for over 50 vehicles, it supports post-harvest management and enhances cold chain reliability in Odisha.

Job Summary

The role seeks an experienced professional with strong agriculture expertise to identify, develop, and secure cold chain infrastructure projects within the agriculture and allied sectors. Responsibilities include generating new business and coordinating project execution for cold storage and temperature-controlled solutions. The candidate should maintain strong connections with farmers, FPOs, agri-entrepreneurs, government departments, food processors, and exporters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and acquire new projects for cold storage, pack houses, ripening chambers, and refrigerated logistics in the agriculture sector.
  • Develop business relationships with farmer producer organizations (FPOs), cooperatives, exporters, food processors, and farmer groups.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with farmers and agricultural members at zonal levels to facilitate project tie-ups.
  • Liaise with government departments to obtain approvals and manage subsidy-based projects.
  • Meet assigned project acquisition and revenue goals.
  • Conduct site surveys and assess project feasibility.
  • Manage commercial negotiations and successfully close agreements.
  • Coordinate among technical teams, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Ensure all projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Provide post-installation client support and cultivate long-term partnerships.

Required Qualifications

  • B.Sc or M.Sc in Agriculture
  • B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering
  • MBA in Agri-Business Management

Experience and Skills

  • Between 2 to 5 years of experience in agricultural infrastructure, cold storage, pack houses, food processing units, and government subsidy projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of the agriculture sector with a strong network and field presence.
  • Excellent networking and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Familiarity with government schemes and agricultural subsidies.
  • Proven sales and negotiation skills.
  • Target-oriented and self-motivated, capable of securing 2 to 4 projects monthly.
  • Strong understanding of post-harvest management (PHM) sector.
  • Well-connected across the agricultural ecosystem.

Salary and Benefits

  • Annual salary ranging from 200000 to 400000 INR, depending on experience and project acquisition results.
  • Performance-based incentives upon successful project closure.
  • Travel allowances and commissions on confirmed projects.
