Job description
Overview
Join a rapidly growing business undergoing significant expansion through acquisitions and organic growth. This newly created Project Accountant role reports directly to the Financial Controller, playing a pivotal role in driving the integration and standardisation of financial processes across the group. You will lead the rollout of NetSuite ERP among acquired entities and help establish scalable finance operations to support continued growth and M&A activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Phase 2 and subsequent stages of ERP implementation, including the deployment of NetSuite across all group companies.
- Execute consolidation processes within NetSuite and implement purchase orders and streamlined accounts payable workflows for project and operational expenses.
- Collaborate with compliance teams in foreign subsidiaries to ensure cohesive group-wide tax, VAT, and statutory filing procedures.
- Enhance and maintain internal controls, guaranteeing uniform application throughout all entities.
- Identify and deploy an efficient employee expense management tool.
- Provide support for grant applications and R&D credit processes within the organisation.
- Assist in the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and preparing requisite schedules.
- Partner with the Financial Controller on acquisition accounting and due diligence tasks.
- Deliver insightful financial analysis and reporting to guide strategic and operational decision-making.
- Offer finance support to cross-functional teams on various projects.
- Carry out ad hoc duties for the Financial Controller and CFO as needed.
Experience & Skills
- At least 2 to 4 years of relevant post-qualification experience in accounting.
- Proven background in ERP implementations and finance transformation initiatives.
- Expertise in internal controls development and application is highly desirable.
- Experience in process mapping and rolling out process improvements.
- Strong technical accounting abilities, including consolidation expertise.
- M&A and post-acquisition integration experience is advantageous.
- Excellent project management capabilities, including stakeholder engagement, planning, timeline adherence, and multi-workstream coordination.
- Effective organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to escalate issues appropriately.
- A hands-on, proactive attitude with a track record of tackling challenges head-on.
- Experience managing projects end-to-end and presenting findings to diverse management levels.
- Advanced IT proficiency, notably in Excel and financial systems; prior experience with NetSuite ERP is preferred.
- A commitment to continuous process improvement and optimisation.
Additional Information
- Salary range: €80,000 to €85,000 per annum.
- Hybrid working arrangement requiring three days onsite in Dublin.
