Role Overview

The Programme & Community Developer position, based in Berlin, involves working approximately 32–36 hours per week with a commitment starting September or October 2026. The role requires fixed on-site presence during 3 to 4 evenings weekly and one weekend day. This position is exclusively funded through § 16e SGB II, meaning applicants must have received Jobcenter benefits for at least 21 of the last 24 months (unemployment benefits from the Agentur für Arbeit do not qualify).

About ForEveryone

ForEveryone is a Berlin-based nonprofit social enterprise dedicated to fostering connections among diverse communities. Operating a community café at Boxhagener Platz, the organization hosts workshops, events, and activities for an international audience. Currently, ForEveryone is expanding and redefining its activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support existing workshops and café events, ensuring smooth operation daily including handling bookings, cancellations, and details.
  • Innovate and pilot new activity formats by gauging community interests, researching trends, and evaluating feasibility and popularity.
  • Develop recurring communities with membership models by transforming individual events into regular, sustainable groups (e.g., knitting circles, sports, recurring music nights).
  • Conduct workshops and events regularly, and recruit and mentor volunteers to manage these activities independently.
  • Steer the growth phases of activities from experimentation to standardization and scalability with robust processes.

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience organizing workshops, community events, or group formats that others can maintain.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with enthusiasm for volunteer recruitment and support.
  • Ability to conceptualize, trial, and critically assess various community activity formats.
  • Self-motivated with ownership mindset, capable of independently leading the community program.
  • Availability to work onsite during specified evening and weekend hours, with flexible coordination for remaining hours.
  • Comfortable using digital tools; proficiency in German and English is advantageous for communicating within a multilingual community.

Additional Information

  • Work hours: 32–36 hours per week, with at least 3–4 evenings (~2–3 hours each) and one weekend day on site; other hours flexible at the office.
  • Start date: September or October 2026, or as agreed.
  • Location: Coworking Kiezlab in Berlin, hybrid working options may be possible.
  • Monthly gross salary ranges from €2,400 to €2,800 for a 36-hour work week.
