Program Manager - Launch and Expansion, Amazon Now Launches

About the Role

Join the mission to establish the next wave of Amazon facilities across the region by playing a critical role in scaling the Amazon Now network. This position demands expert strategic and large-scale project management to support expansive organizational growth. The Program Manager will take charge of defining project scopes, developing timelines, creating operational processes, addressing schedule risks, leading project execution, and reporting progress and challenges to senior leadership. This highly cross-functional role requires excellent coordination and communication skills to connect diverse teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Begin planning by considering customer needs to clearly define program prerequisites and key milestones.
• Proactively manage multiple urgent tasks across various teams with a strong sense of ownership.
• Maintain detailed program trackers to update internal and external stakeholders on progress.
• Resolve problems efficiently amid ambiguity and a dynamic, fast-changing environment.
• Coordinate end-to-end project activities, ensuring all launch tasks meet program deadlines.
• Collaborate and influence diverse team members and stakeholders, reporting project status regularly to senior leaders.
• Collect and analyze data to evaluate launch outcomes.
• Initiate and implement strategies to facilitate expansion efforts.

Team Overview

The Launch team is fundamental in delivering top-tier customer service by managing the scaling and augmentation of Amazon's network. This team orchestrates planning and monitors execution across multiple stakeholders, including business, technology, design, procurement, and construction departments.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in program or project management.
• Over 3 years of proficiency with advanced Microsoft Word and Excel functions.
• Flexibility to work various schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Minimum 2 years of experience collaborating cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical teams.
• At least 2 years of experience designing and applying process improvement initiatives by leveraging data and metrics.
• Competence in defining program requirements and using data-driven insights to enhance processes.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Microsoft Projects software.
• Experience in installation, operation, and maintenance of material handling systems (MHS).
• Background in an analytical role with cross-functional collaboration.
