Role and Responsibilities
- Operate profile grinding machines to finish gear teeth and related components with precision.
- Set up the grinding machines by selecting appropriate grinding wheels and aligning tools according to job specifications.
- Continuously monitor machine settings and adjust parameters to maintain accuracy.
- Conduct inspections of components using micrometers, gauges, and other measuring instruments to ensure quality.
- Confirm that surface finish and dimensional tolerances meet engineering standards.
- Perform periodic dressing of grinding wheels and carry out routine maintenance of machines.
- Detect defects during production and implement quality control measures.
- Adhere to established safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the work environment.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Practical experience operating and programming CNC and manual gear profile grinding machines.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with gear manufacturing techniques and processes.
- Proficiency using precision measurement devices such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges.
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to achieving high accuracy.
Eligibility
Applicants should possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Tool and Die Making.
