Job description
Role Overview
This contract role with Palo Alto Networks is based in Singapore and supports professional services operations within the JAPAC region. The contractor will work through trusted staffing partners, not directly employed by Palo Alto Networks, for a 12-month period. The main focus is on managing pre-sales documentation, supporting project management tools, enforcing operational standards, reporting, and identifying operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead pre-sales activities by drafting Statements of Work (SOW), defining scope of services contracts, and overseeing the review process across JAPAC.
- Administer PSA tools such as Clarizen or Planview by establishing new projects for delivery teams and managing resource assignment frameworks.
- Ensure service quality through the development and enforcement of organizational standards and operational policies.
- Provide scheduled and spontaneous reports to monitor key performance metrics, project progress, and operational effectiveness.
- Conduct data analysis and generate reports on trends within the Professional Services business using data from Clarizen, Salesforce, and Tableau.
- Spot opportunities for operational scaling and enhancement; create workflow descriptions, study system capabilities, and collaborate with development teams to implement and verify improvements.
- Assist in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process by testing new SKUs, rate cards, and workflows within Clarizen/PSA tools.
- Collaborate with IT and other cross-functional teams to create new process improvements that accelerate revenue growth and enhance profit margins.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in a demanding operations role, ideally within sales or professional services sectors.
- Experience supporting operations across multiple countries, handling diverse currencies, and engaging regional stakeholders in the JAPAC area is preferred.
- Hands-on experience composing contracts, Statements of Work, and financial reporting.
- Strong understanding of service revenue recognition, billing procedures, and project margin management.
- Proficiency with Salesforce.com is mandatory; familiarity with PSA tools such as Clarizen, OpenAir, FinancialForce, or Kimble and SAP is highly advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, capable of explaining complex operational matters clearly.
- Strong analytical abilities combined with meticulous attention to detail and a high standard of integrity.
