Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position based in Jiddah involves safely and efficiently operating trucks while complying with traffic regulations and company policies. Key duties include transporting cargo to specified destinations, conducting routine vehicle inspections, and promptly reporting any mechanical problems. The driver will maintain precise delivery documentation, follow scheduled routes, and maintain frequent communication with dispatch and supervisory personnel. Providing polite customer service during loading and unloading and ensuring safe handling and security of cargo is vital daily.
Qualifications
- Proficient truck driving skills, demonstrating safe handling and maneuvering under diverse conditions.
- Possession of a valid CDL Class A license or equivalent heavy vehicle license, along with a clean driving history.
- Strong communication abilities to liaise effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and colleagues.
- Customer service aptitude to engage professionally with clients and positively represent the company.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle upkeep and capability to perform standard inspections.
- Familiarity with the local routes in and around Jiddah, alongside competency in using navigation tools precisely.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, potentially including weekends and evenings to meet operational requirements.
- A minimum education level of high school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in professional or truck driving is advantageous.
