Productions Labourer

Overview

We are seeking dependable and motivated labourers interested in gaining experience in construction, manufacturing, or production in Newcastle and nearby areas. This is an ongoing role offering consistent Monday to Friday shifts with both day and afternoon options.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general labour tasks in construction and production environments
• Assist with assembly and manufacturing of various products
• Operate hand and power tools, including grinders
• Interpret basic plans and perform measurements
• Conduct quality checks on completed products
• Support machinery and forklift operation if licensed
• Handle different materials and equipment safely
• Keep work areas clean and adhere to safety protocols
• Develop new skills and accept added responsibilities as opportunities arise

Candidate Profile

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Physically capable and comfortable with manual labour
• Safety aware and cautious on site
• Eager to learn and follow instructions
• Proficient with basic hand and power tools
• Ability to work autonomously or within a team
• Willing and able to work long shifts of 8 to 12 hours
• Competent reading basic measurements and plans
• Holds a valid driver's license with reliable transportation

Previous experience is valued but not mandatory; enthusiasm and attitude are key.

Desirable Certifications

• Forklift License (LF)
• Elevating Work Platform (EWP) certification
• Confined Space certification
