Job description
Overview
The Production Trainee position is based at the Royal Enfield manufacturing facility in Oragadam, Chennai, an advanced plant featuring automated and manual production processes for motorcycles such as the Classic 350 and Hunter 350. This role offers an opportunity to work within departments like Production, Assembly Line, Quality Control, or Stores and contributes to the manufacturing of high-quality motorcycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assembly tasks on motorcycle production lines following established standard work instructions.
- Support the production team in achieving scheduled daily and weekly manufacturing goals.
- Conduct inspections of parts and components in-process to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Safely operate basic machinery, production tools, and material handling equipment as part of the assembly process.
- Adhere to environmental, health, and safety protocols while maintaining a clean and organized work environment following 5S methodology.
Candidate Requirements
- Open to candidates who do not hold formal graduation qualifications.
- Should be willing and able to work onsite at the Oragadam plant in Chennai.
