Production Team Member

Job Overview

Columbia Forest Products in Kitchener, Ontario is seeking a full-time Production Team Member to join their manufacturing team. This role involves performing various duties across different machine stations including putty line, spreader, hot press, sander, material handling, quality inspections, cleaning, and other related manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be expected to rotate through several job functions to ensure smooth production processes. Operating a forklift safely and effectively in the production environment is considered a valuable asset.

Work Environment & Safety

Employees must wear personal protective equipment while working around moving machinery, fast-moving forklift traffic, and noisy machines to ensure a safe working environment.

Work Schedule & Compensation

The typical schedule is Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts (40 hours per week), starting at either 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM or 7:15 AM to 4:15 PM Monday through Thursday, with an alternative Friday shift from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The starting wage during probation is $20.60 per hour with a base pay increase to $22.15 after probation. Additional proficiency bonuses are available ranging from $0.50 to $2.50 depending on qualifications, with total pay potential up to $24.00 per hour after probation.
