Production Supervisor

Overview

Sidhi Marwadi is seeking a skilled Food Production Supervisor to oversee its production and packaging operations in Jodhpur. The role involves managing a team, maintaining production schedules, ensuring high standards of hygiene, and supervising machinery related to food packaging, with specific training provided for oil-packing and spice-packing equipment.

Primary Duties

• Create daily production and packing schedules.
• Assign operators and helpers based on production needs.
• Conduct shift briefings with the production team.
• Track hourly production targets against actual output.
• Manage packing processes for oil, spices, and other food products.
• Oversee pouch filling, sealing, and check for any defects like leakage or incorrect weights.
• Ensure correct use of products, packaging materials, batch numbers, and labels.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the factory and personnel according to GMP and ensure line clearance.
• Prevent contamination and promptly report quality issues.
• Keep detailed records of production, rejects, wastage, downtimes, and manpower.
• Collaborate with teams from quality control, stores, maintenance, and dispatch.
• Identify and address basic machinery faults related to sealing, sensors, compressors, film alignment, and filling.
• Escalate technical issues to relevant technicians quickly.
• Supervise thorough cleaning of machines and workspaces before and after shifts.
• Control production wastage to reduce material loss.
• Manage attendance, discipline, productivity of workers, and ensure smooth shift handovers.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• At least 2 years of experience supervising production or packing processes.
• Preference given to candidates with experience in food, spices, edible oil, flour, snacks, FMCG, or hygiene-sensitive manufacturing sectors.
• Capability to effectively manage teams of operators and helpers.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Excel.
• Understanding of food hygiene practices and production documentation.
• Food safety certifications such as FoSTaC are beneficial.
• Male candidates residing in or willing to relocate to Jodhpur are eligible.

Selection Procedure

• Initial telephone screening.
• Discussion on production and staff management expertise.
• Hands-on evaluation involving production shortfall and packing line scenarios.
• Testing of manpower allocation and hourly production planning skills.
• Final face-to-face interview at the factory premises.

Location: Bhopalgarh, Jodhpur, Rajasthan

Work Mode: Full-time, on-site at the factory

Salary Range: ₹18,000 to ₹25,000 per month depending on experience and knowledge in food production.
