Production Supervisor

Overview

This position is for a Production Supervisor responsible for overseeing injection molding operations, particularly in the automotive components industry. The candidate will manage production activities, ensure proper machine operation, and maintain high standards of machine cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage injection molding machines, with preference for experience on Milacron or Haitian machines.
• Utilize machine PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems for injection molding equipment for efficient operation and troubleshooting.
• Supervise production and manufacturing activities on the shop floor, including manpower handling and utilization.
• Maintain 5S standards to ensure machine and workplace cleanliness and organization.
• Oversee production management processes such as FIFO (First In First Out) and inventory control.
• Act as a machine in-charge, ensuring smooth functioning of production lines and adherence to quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Plastics Technology, Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
• Hands-on knowledge of injection molding machine operations, preferably with experience on Milacron or Haitian machines.
• Proficiency in operating and managing machine PLC systems on injection molding machines.
• Familiarity with 5S system to maintain workplace cleanliness and machine maintenance.
• Experience in manpower handling and production supervising on the shop floor.
• Must own a bike for commuting purposes.
• Willingness to work night shifts as required.

The role is permanent full-time and based onsite in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The position falls under the production and manufacturing category, focusing on auto component manufacturing. The candidate will be involved in various production and engineering activities to support manufacturing efficiency and quality.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range is between 21000 and 24000 Indian Rupees per month.
