Job description
About the Role
We are seeking a Production Scheduler to join our team located in Tuas, Singapore on a fixed-term contract expected to last approximately 12 months. This role entails planning, coordinating, and scheduling manufacturing activities to ensure smooth execution of production plans aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, release, and manage production work orders using ERP systems like Oracle EBS.
- Develop and maintain daily and weekly production schedules considering demand forecasts, material availability, and capacity constraints.
- Track production progress, adjusting schedules dynamically to accommodate shifting priorities and operational limitations.
- Work collaboratively with teams from Supply Planning, Procurement, Production, Warehouse, and Quality to troubleshoot shortages and remove bottlenecks.
- Analyze adherence to schedules and assist in implementing recovery plans for delayed orders.
- Maintain accurate planning parameters and master data essential for scheduling functions.
- Effectively communicate schedule alterations, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts aimed at enhancing schedule reliability and operational efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related discipline.
- Between 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Production Scheduling, Planning, or Manufacturing Operations.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing workflows, material management, capacity planning, and production execution principles.
- Practical experience with Oracle EBS or comparable ERP platforms, involving work order and inventory management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including capabilities with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and data analysis techniques.
- Detail-oriented, proactive team player exhibiting strong cross-functional collaboration skills with ability to support critical production needs, potentially including occasional after-hours or weekend involvement.
