Job Summary
As a Production Line Operator reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will manage and run the production line. This role involves operating machinery efficiently, ensuring raw materials are correctly processed, troubleshooting line stoppages, clearing jams, verifying products adhere to quality standards, and preparing finished goods for shipment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow all safety policies, programs, and procedures diligently.
- Complete health and safety pre-start checklists to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure the manufactured products meet designated quality benchmarks.
- Record quality checks consistently throughout production.
- Operate manufacturing equipment according to prescribed methods.
- Use counterbalance propane-powered forklifts as part of daily tasks.
- Accurately document production output and reasons for downtime through both computerized and manual reports.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas with general housekeeping.
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Willingness and ability to work flexible, rotating shifts of 8, 10, or 12 hours.
- Preferably at least two years of experience in heavy industrial manufacturing or construction.
- Minimum one year operating forklifts with proven competency preferred.
- Ability to work in environments with dust and withstand physical demands such as heavy lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong manual dexterity, sharp attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
- Proficiency in English both verbal and written is essential.
- Capable of working at heights, in confined spaces, standing and walking for 90% of shifts.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work collaboratively.
