Job Overview
We are seeking a Production Operator for a 12-month fixed-term contract at our Cork facility, supporting efficient production line operations within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Responsibilities
- Adhere strictly to Quality Assessment requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to equipment, plant operations, and production processes.
- Execute production tasks aligned with the production schedule, manufacturing orders, and detailed work instructions.
- Prepare the working area by verifying schedule correctness, ensuring readiness of the workspace and materials, including checks on codes, lot numbers, expiry dates, and adherence to First-In-First-Out (FIFO) inventory management.
- Carry out preparatory, active, and post-production activities, which include completing batch documentation, product labeling, and container sealing.
- Operate specified machinery such as mills, granulators, blenders, tablet presses, coaters, inspectors, dispensers, and encapsulation equipment.
- Achieve Operational Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) goals concerning cycle times and changeover times across all processes.
- Accurately complete Master Batch Documentation in synchronization with production progress.
- Perform in-process quality testing, identify and investigate production deviations, report to supervisors as necessary, and finalize quality control records.
- Follow all workplace safety guidelines, promptly report incidents or concerns, and actively contribute to maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
- Maintain personal hygiene and demonstrate professional behavior while committing to ongoing process improvements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a Leaving Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
- An interest in or knowledge of manufacturing process equipment is desirable.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Effective communication and problem-solving capabilities.
