Production Operative

Role Overview

Join KP Snacks at our Tyrrells Court Farm site near Leominster, England, as a Production Operative. This position involves operating sophisticated machinery on frying or packing lines to manufacture Tyrrells hand cooked potato crisps, maintaining the high-quality products our consumers expect. You'll follow a 4 days on, 4 days off rotational shift schedule working 12-hour shifts (6am–6pm or 6pm–6am) that alternate between day and night duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate complex production equipment safely and efficiently on frying or packing lines to achieve production goals and quality standards.
• Monitor production performance using digital data systems and address deviations or defects promptly.
• Troubleshoot machinery issues to minimize downtime and maintain workflow continuity.
• Perform routine daily activities such as quality inspections, line checks, and accurate record maintenance.
• Execute cleaning tasks ensuring food safety, hygiene, and a safe working environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Prior experience in manufacturing or food production is highly desirable.
• Level 2 Food Safety qualification for manufacturing is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills in English are essential.
• Demonstrated ownership, accountability, strong attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
