Job description
Role Overview
The Production Lead supports daily store operations and strives to meet or exceed production targets while adhering to company policies and standards. This role may involve supervisory responsibilities delegated by the Store or Production Manager and requires hands-on participation in production activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve production goals, processing a minimum of 110 garments per hour with at least 90% quality compliance.
- Ensure efficient processing of donated items to prepare them for store display.
- Serve as a role model for employees and trainees, demonstrating professionalism.
- Maintain a positive store image through cleanliness, attractive merchandising, and personable staff presence.
- Keep back-room areas safe, clean, and hazard-free.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and restroom maintenance.
- Monitor adherence to safety and personnel policies among Production Associates.
- Possess capability to perform all Production Associate duties.
- Attend scheduled shifts as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Support management in achieving monthly and annual production goals and assist in executing contingency plans if targets are unmet.
- Exhibit professionalism interacting with diverse groups and convey the organization's mission effectively to the public.
- Build and sustain positive working relationships with store and production teams, motivating them to optimum performance.
- Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and potentially extended hours on short notice.
- Perform repetitive hand motions required for garment handling such as buttoning, sorting, and hanging.
- Maintain physical stamina for prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, and stretching in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED with minimum 6 months supervisory experience, or at least 90 days in the service industry.
- Proficient reading, writing, and communication skills in English.
- Previous service industry experience is preferred.
- Successful completion of Retail training is mandatory.
Working Conditions
- Regular physical activity involving frequent movement and exertion.
- Work indoors in conditioned environments with occasional exposure to outdoor weather.
- Potentially variable work locations, including attended donation centers at short notice.
Minimum education
Higher Secondary (Class 12)
