Production Application Support Engineer

Project Overview

This role involves providing comprehensive production support for a treasury application used by a prominent Singapore-based bank. The focus includes handling technical challenges, monitoring essential services and environments, and managing End of Day (EOD) batch processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver L1 and L2 technical and functional support for treasury applications in a live production setting.
• Monitor online trade booking systems and promptly address any issues.
• Troubleshoot technical service problems and manage environment stability, including EOD batch operations during morning, night, and weekend shifts on a 24/7 schedule.
• Support production environments for applications developed in Java and utilizing microservices architecture.

Required Qualifications

• Between 6 months and 2 years of experience in production application support.
• Proficient in analyzing Unix logs for debugging and troubleshooting purposes.
• Skilled in SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data.
• Experienced in providing L1 and L2 technical and functional application support.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Capable of managing relationships with various stakeholders effectively.
• Willingness and flexibility to work shifts including nights and weekends.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Control-M job scheduling.
• Experience working with Murex treasury systems.
