Role Overview

This permanent, full-time position based in Horotiu reports to the Group Supply Chain Manager. The Product Purchaser’s core responsibility is ensuring the availability of the right products at the right time to meet customer demands, supporting the company’s supply chain effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse sales data to identify trends supporting forecasting and inventory budgeting.
• Create and manage purchase orders efficiently to maintain stock levels.
• Coordinate product orders with both local and international suppliers.
• Track shipment progress and delivery lead times to ensure on-time receipt.
• Communicate timely updates on shipments to internal teams and external partners.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, warehouse teams, and other departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
• Maintain precise records of purchasing, product details, and shipment statuses.
• Help ensure uninterrupted product availability throughout the business network.

Candidate Profile

• Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Able to interpret data and recognise trends to improve purchasing decisions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional approach.
• Adopts a proactive and solutions-driven mindset.
• Capable of planning, prioritising, and adapting to changing business needs.
• Works collaboratively and supports team efforts.
• Demonstrates curiosity and eagerness to learn actively on the job.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, or supply chain management.
• Familiarity with international supplier relations and import processes.
• Understanding of freight logistics, customs, and shipment operations.
• Knowledge of motorcycles, motorcycle parts, apparel, or accessories considered a plus.
