Product Owner - Sourcing Technology

Role Overview

We seek a seasoned product owner with over 6 years of experience in the Supply Chain sector. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong expertise in product management and business analysis within technology contexts, preferably within the apparel and footwear industry. This role involves leading multiple sourcing technology projects while collaborating with Product Supply business stakeholders across platforms such as Global Costing, Global Supply Planning, and PO Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the product vision by identifying user requirements, setting strategic goals, and guiding the product roadmap aligned with business aims.
• Manage the entire product lifecycle: conduct market research, competitive assessment, conceptualize features, oversee product design and development, plan releases, and evaluate performance.
• Implement and uphold industry best practices for product management and delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT vendors and internal developers, to ensure products meet organizational priorities and are delivered successfully.
• Engage stakeholders, articulate product strategies and benefits, and facilitate buy-in and execution of initiatives.
• Maintain clear communication channels and manage relationships with vendors, partners, and senior leadership to ensure aligned delivery within time and budget limits.
• Gather, analyze, and convert business needs into detailed functional specifications; recommend system/process improvements and oversee their implementation.
• Support quality assurance via test case validation and user acceptance testing, deliver user training, and provide Level 2 post-deployment support as needed.
• Establish and maintain documentation standards and optimize processes in line with evolving business requirements.

Competency Requirements

Behavioral: Self-motivated with a strong results orientation, adept at managing ambiguity and priorities, possessing excellent communication and teamwork skills, alongside strong problem-solving and organizational capabilities.
Functional: Solid understanding of product management, Agile, and Scrum techniques. Experience in supply chain or digital supply chain domains is advantageous. Skilled in business analysis and familiar with tools such as Use Cases, User Stories, Activity Diagrams, and Test Cases. Knowledge or experience with Infor Nexus, FlexPLM, KNIME, UiPath RPA, and AI/ML, including GenAI and NLP applications, is highly valuable.

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Certifications like PMP, Product Owner, or Agile training are preferred.
• Supply Chain certifications such as CSCP are a plus.

Language Proficiency

Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is required due to frequent interactions with teams based in Shanghai.
