Role Overview

We seek an experienced Product Owner to take charge of the comprehensive product vision, development roadmap, and detailed requirements of our custody platform. This role entails sole accountability for defining the product's features and strategic priorities by balancing multiple demands, including client commitments, outcomes of security audits, cryptographic research advancements, and compliance with regulatory standards. The Product Owner will act as a critical liaison among cryptography researchers, engineering, security, compliance, design, and customer liaison teams, as well as represent the product in discussions with partners, auditors, and investors. Collaboration with the Delivery Manager is essential, where you focus on scope, priority, and acceptance criteria, while they manage implementation and release cycles.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously refine the product vision, roadmap, and specifications for the custody and wallet infrastructure based on MPC technology.
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog encompassing customer needs, audit outcomes, cryptographic research updates, and regulatory requirements.
• Convert complex cryptographic and security considerations into clear, verifiable product requirements with explicit acceptance standards.
• Specify and define fundamental platform features such as threshold signing, integration with HSMs and Ledger hardware wallets including non-extractable key shares, recovery solutions, policy flows, and multi-chain and multi-asset support.
• Lead user and stakeholder requirement discovery and prepare thorough, well-documented specifications.
• Make critical product trade-offs involving new functionalities, platform security enhancements, and technical debt management.
• Serve as the central product contact bridging cryptography research, engineering, security, compliance, design, and client-facing teams.
• Represent and advocate for the platform in conversations with external partners, auditors, and investors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated background as a Product Owner or Product Manager for sophisticated technical platforms, ideally in digital asset custody, fintech infrastructure, security, or related cryptographic products.
• Proficient understanding of custody and key management principles including MPC, threshold signatures, HSMs, hardware wallets, and recovery and policy systems.
• Capability to engage effectively with cryptographers, security engineers, and auditors to translate their insights and constraints into actionable product features.
• Exceptional ability to write clear, precise product specifications incorporating unambiguous requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Experience in reconciling regulatory and audit criteria with commercial product objectives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with fluency in English.

Preferred Attributes

• Hands-on familiarity or usage experience with blockchain protocols, wallets, or Web3 technologies either as a developer or user.
• Experience with security audits, penetration testing, or regulatory compliance in controlled environments.
• Track record supporting product platforms serving both institutional and retail users simultaneously.
