Job description
Primary Role Overview
The Product Owner will be instrumental in defining detailed software requirements for development teams and coordinating release processes. This includes comprehending ClearCorrect's products and translating needs into clear user stories with acceptance criteria.
Key Duties
- Develop and prioritize a comprehensive software backlog aligned with product and engineering goals.
- Create user stories with precise acceptance criteria and collaborate closely with developers to ensure correct execution.
- Lead Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives effectively.
- Act as a subject matter expert by facilitating product demonstrations when needed.
- Maintain thorough documentation considering regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Collaborate across teams including development, marketing, sales, and quality assurance to support smooth product progression and launches.
- Oversee product testing and validation to confirm technical and user requirements are satisfied.
- Ensure features meet quality benchmarks and business objectives within delivery timelines.
Candidate Profile
- Between 3 to 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or in Product Management with practical exposure to software development projects and engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience in Agile methodologies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and managing stakeholders.
- Technical background or familiarity with software development, system architectures, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps practices. Previous developer or technical analyst experience is advantageous.
- Proven capability to engage with and harmonize input from engineering, UX/UI, QA, and business units to drive product delivery.
- Skilled at communicating between technical and non-technical participants translating business demands into technical specifications.
- Comfortable working within diverse cultural environments balancing varied stakeholder requirements.
Required Competencies
- Usage of Atlassian Cloud, Azure DevOps, or similar tools for project management.
- Knowledge of APIs, microservices architectures, various databases, cloud services such as AWS, Azure or GCP, and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
- Strong analytical skills to dissect complex technical challenges and collaboratively find resolutions.
- Effective communication skills capable of bridging technical and non-technical understanding.
- Aptitude for influencing engineering teams, aligning stakeholders, and navigating trade-offs.
Educational & Language Requirements
- Fluency in English at C1 level; knowledge of additional European languages beneficial.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical disciplines.
- Desirable certifications include Atlassian Jira and Confluence, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, and Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO).
