Job description

About CarOnSale

CarOnSale is an AI-driven platform dedicated to the European B2B used car trade, connecting over 40,000 buyers across 20+ countries. With 85% of the inventory exclusive to the platform, it integrates software, pricing intelligence, logistics, and financing into a unified industry operating system.

Location & Work Arrangement

You will be based in Berlin Schöneberg, working on-site with a hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, plus an additional 10 "Work from Anywhere" days annually.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage features and enhancements in your product domain, handling everything from requirements gathering, collaborating with engineering to implementation, through to launch.
  • Analyze drop-off points in the dealer purchase funnel and implement strategies to improve conversion rates measurably.
  • Participate in technical integrations with partners, overseeing API connection processes alongside engineering teams.
  • Engage regularly with dealers to collect structured feedback and translate it into actionable product requirements.
  • Independently maintain and prioritize your product backlog, justifying priorities with data insights.
  • Track KPIs post-launch and determine subsequent product improvements based on findings.

Candidate Profile

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in product management or as a product owner, preferably within digital B2B, platform, or e-commerce environments.
  • Experience with conversion rate optimization, including funnel analysis and implementation of improvements.
  • Technical understanding of API integrations to effectively communicate with engineering teams without the need for development skills.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, able to work directly with data and derive informed decisions.
  • High problem-solving skills and self-driven initiative to identify and address challenges proactively.
  • Excellent communication skills for simplifying complex topics and collaborating closely with customers.
  • Fluent German (C2) and professional working proficiency in English.
  • Familiarity with agile methods such as Scrum and Kanban, using tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot in daily work for enhanced productivity.

Advantages

  • Experience with checkout, payment, or financing processes (e.g., Buy Now, Pay Later).
  • Previous exposure to partnerships or the automotive industry is beneficial.

Benefits and Workplace Culture

  • Hybrid working model (3 days office, 2 days remote), augmented by 10 annual days to work remotely from any location.
  • 28 days of annual leave.
  • Semi-annual career and development discussions.
  • Company pension scheme with a 20% employer contribution.
  • Paid German public transit ticket.
  • Fitness benefits via FitX membership or Urban Sports Club subsidy.
  • Participation in company success through virtual stock options.
  • Modern IT equipment for daily tasks.
  • Structured onboarding supported by a buddy program and social events.
  • A culture embracing diversity, including a women's network, meditation and prayer rooms, and pet-friendly office environment.
