Job description

About project44

At project44, we are committed to challenging existing norms because we believe an improved supply chain is essential—not only benefiting our customers but also enhancing their business operations and positively impacting the world. Our Decision Intelligence Platform, Movement, revolutionizes global supply chains by transforming dispersed logistics data into real-time AI-driven insights. This allows companies to connect instantly, gain clarity, act decisively, and automate efficiently. Headquartered in Chicago with a second headquarters in Bengaluru, India, our diverse global team approaches complex logistics problems with innovation and urgency.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Product Manager focused on Interoperability to lead the definition of how project44 integrates with customers’, logistics providers’, and partner systems. This includes determining data ingestion sources, destinations, and the business rules governing these interactions. The role entails ownership over not only requirement gathering but also detailed process design, including mapping current and future workflows, specifying system-to-system data flows, and establishing measurable success criteria. The ultimate goal is to develop packaged integration solutions that accelerate value delivery for project44’s clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gain a deep understanding of project44’s ideal customer profile and their supply chain systems of record along with adjacent data sources utilized in supply chain solutions.
  • Define and document end-to-end system workflows, including source systems like Supply/Demand Planning, ERP, TMS/WMS, and input feeds such as EDI/API, and output destinations like supply chain planning, partner systems, and cloud data warehouses.
  • Create comprehensive business design documents, product requirement documents (PRDs), design specifications, and other materials to clearly communicate system integration needs.
  • Lead business process design by mapping as-is and to-be states for key scenarios including order-to-cash, transportation planning and execution, supply and demand planning lifecycles, and exception management, translating these into structured data flows.
  • Understand the fundamentals of MCP interoperability, its applications, and how it interacts with large language models to meet system-to-system integration goals.
  • Establish success metrics and acceptance criteria for each integration or workflow prior to development and ensure these are met after launch.
  • Serve as the authoritative source for interoperability workflow definitions, clarifying data movements between systems to prevent ambiguity for engineering teams.
  • Conduct structured discovery sessions with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders such as Sales, Customer Success, and Solutions Engineering to identify process gaps and design target workflows.
  • Collaborate with Data and Platform Engineering teams to confirm workflow designs align with data ingestion and transformation patterns used in cloud data warehouse environments such as Snowflake and Databricks.
  • Manage prioritization of interoperability roadmap workstreams, balancing unique customer requests and reusable integration patterns.
  • Produce unambiguous workflow and requirement documentation that enables engineers to build solutions without revisiting business processes.

Candidate Profile

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in business process design, systems analysis, or product management with an emphasis on system integrations.
  • Proven expertise in mapping and documenting multi-system business workflows, including process mapping, workflow diagrams, or BPMN.
  • Strong understanding of API and MCP principles and data transformation patterns sufficient to credibly specify workflows and coordinate with engineering; hands-on API development is not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with cloud data warehouse technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks) and insight into how data is ingested, transformed, and exported.
  • Experienced in defining success metrics and acceptance criteria for complex, cross-system projects, driving initiatives from metrics definition to achievement.
  • Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to lead discovery sessions and guide decision-making across diverse groups.
  • Background in supply chain, logistics, or complex B2B SaaS platforms is advantageous but not required.

Success Measures for the First Year

  • Publication of definitive workflow definitions for the main integration patterns in the interoperability portfolio.
  • Adoption of a standard methodology for defining success metrics and acceptance criteria across interoperability projects.
  • Reduction in engineering rework by eliminating ambiguities or incomplete process definitions.
  • Positive feedback from engineering and cross-functional teams regarding the clarity of workflow specifications.

Work Conditions

The position requires working onsite five days a week in the Bengaluru office.
