About Badrgo

Badrgo is a Qatar-based indigenous ride-hailing and mobility service striving to provide smarter, safer, and more dependable transportation across the Middle East and Africa. With headquarters in Doha and operations spanning Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Mauritania, Badrgo is committed to being the trusted mobility partner in the region by connecting riders and drivers via a platform that emphasizes technology, transparency, and trust. The team is driven, fast-paced, and dedicated to enhancing daily lives through innovative mobility solutions.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Chief Product and Experience Officer (CPEO), the Product Manager role is pivotal in merging commercial strategy, customer experience, and technology execution at Badr Technology Holding. This position oversees the complete product lifecycle—from conducting market research and competitive analysis to developing product proposals, project charters, coordinating cross-functional implementation, and commercial launches. The role has dual responsibilities: leading new product verticals such as logistics, corporate services, limousine, subscription, and B2B offerings alongside improving the core platform (rider app, driver app, backend functionalities) in collaboration with the CTO and Head of IT. A disciplined approach to discovery, benchmarking, data-driven design, and rigorous delivery is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the product idea intake process, establishing a clear and transparent channel for submissions from all teams; evaluate ideas using an established framework that captures key details like problem statements, target users, market potential, effort estimates, and strategic fit.
  • Regularly triage and score incoming product ideas against criteria such as strategic alignment, market needs, technical feasibility, and commercial viability, presenting prioritized shortlists to the CPEO.
  • Maintain an active Idea Register with all idea statuses and provide constructive feedback on deferred or rejected submissions to support open contribution culture.
  • Facilitate quarterly collaborative sessions to generate and surface product improvement suggestions from cross-functional teams.
  • Conduct thorough market research and benchmarking exercises against regional competitors and global mobility trends to highlight best practices, gaps, and new opportunities.
  • Gather customer insights for rider and driver segments via diverse methods including surveys, interviews, support metrics, NPS, and app analytics to inform product development.
  • Produce detailed market and competitor intelligence reports to guide executive-level product strategy decisions.
  • Translate research insights into actionable product designs and proposals clearly outlining problem statements, target audiences, success metrics, and business rationale.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX and IT teams to craft detailed product specifications and user stories, ensuring feasible and user-centered designs.
  • Advocate customer journey improvements in core applications, focusing on onboarding, user experience during booking, trip features, payment, loyalty programs, and post-ride engagement.
  • Draft comprehensive project charters including scope, objectives, stakeholders, timelines, risks, and approvals before development phases, supported by structured competitor analyses of comparable market solutions.
  • Oversee the full product development lifecycle from proof of concept to launch, coordinating efforts across IT, design, operations, CX, and marketing teams, while managing backlogs and prioritizing features.
  • Lead user acceptance testing, integration, and deployment preparations including operational and marketing activities prior to launch.
  • Develop commercial proposals and pricing strategies for new verticals, exploring technology-driven revenue streams such as in-app ads, data monetization, APIs, and licensing.
  • Establish and track key commercial performance indicators, conducting post-launch financial reviews and optimization presentations with senior leadership.
  • Design and implement go-to-market strategies in partnership with marketing leaders, ensuring alignment on positioning, channel strategies, launch plans, and localized adaptations across operating regions.
  • Monitor market adoption and feedback continuously to refine product roadmaps and maintain competitive positioning.
