Job description
Overview
Join an innovative technology firm based in Cambridge focused on developing cutting-edge AI and machine learning tools designed to enhance engineering design and performance decisions. They are expanding and seeking a proactive Product Manager to play an integral role in shaping product strategies and overseeing daily delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with Software Engineering, Machine Learning, UX, commercial teams, and customers. Transform product strategy and customer insights into detailed, executable requirements for technical teams. Owner of the backlog, roadmap, and prioritization. Engage deeply in writing requirements and tickets, managing tasks in Jira, aiding discovery processes, and partnering with engineers and ML specialists to solve technical challenges and make informed decisions. Act as a trusted advisor within the company, particularly for technical colleagues, providing clarity on priorities and product direction.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have proven hands-on experience in Product Management or Product Ownership within a technical B2B software setting. They must demonstrate:
- Expertise in end-to-end Product Management activities, including discovery, requirements specification, prioritization, and delivery
- Experience managing product roadmaps and backlogs with tools like Jira
- Technical confidence to collaborate effectively with Software Engineers and ML/Data teams
- Strong customer and user orientation with the aptitude to translate user challenges into actionable product features
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Exposure to start-up, scale-up, or dynamic environments
Familiarity with machine learning, data science, optimization, or engineering software is a plus but not compulsory. Experience in small to medium companies and quick adaptation to new technical domains is highly valued.

- Work Arrangement: Hybrid – minimum one day per week onsite (travel expenses reimbursed)
- Salary Range: £60,000 - £70,000 per annum
