Position Overview

The Configuration Analyst is an integral member of the Global Product Lifecycle Management team, responsible for managing product and process changes from launch through end-of-life at Illumina. This role involves coordinating with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain teams to ensure change implementations are compliant, efficient, and user-friendly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Change, Item, Bill of Materials (BOM), and Document Management processes within the PLM system, developing comprehensive expertise on document and item life cycles and related requirements.
  • Serve as quality auditor for change records and controlled documents, verifying submissions are thorough, correct, consistent, and defensible according to established protocols and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with Change Owners to provide constructive feedback for improving change requests.
  • Perform material master data configuration within the ERP system.
  • Develop and execute implementation strategies for changes.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve challenges in change and configuration workflows and tools.
  • Lead or assist in training initiatives aimed at enhancing Change Owner proficiency in change management procedures.
  • Continuously monitor the change request queue, prioritizing tasks to meet business demands and service commitments.
  • Manage small to medium projects focused on process improvements such as optimization, training material development, reporting automation, and system enhancements.
  • Generate and present department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Support internal and external audits, including preparation of relevant documentation and participation in audit sessions.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a related GxP-regulated environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a Science field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe software for document and report creation.
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Document Control software.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality regulation standards; ISO 13485 experience is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated, organized, detail-focused, with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
