Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned PLM Subject Matter Expert and Teamcenter Architect to spearhead the architecture and delivery of enterprise product lifecycle management solutions in Australia. This position requires a blend of PLM domain expertise, deep knowledge of Teamcenter architecture, engineering and manufacturing process insight, and client-facing consulting excellence within PLM implementations.

Note: Australian citizenship is mandatory for candidates applying for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery and process design workshops engaging stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, service, and IT.
  • Define future-state PLM processes that encompass requirements traceability, product structures, document control, release protocols, configuration, baselines, variants, effectivity, and engineering change management.
  • Architect lifecycle governance frameworks managing EBOM, MBOM, BOP, and as-built product configurations.
  • Clarify data ownership roles, establish system-of-record boundaries, approval workflows, and lifecycle information flows.
  • Consult stakeholders on fit-to-standard process models, assess operating model impacts, and prioritize adoption efforts.
  • Own and design functional, application, information, integration, security, deployment, and environment architecture elements of Teamcenter.
  • Design or oversee Teamcenter data models, business objects, classification schemas, workflows, maturity and release states, organizational structures, access control mechanisms, and collaboration frameworks.
  • Provide leadership on architecture decisions involving Active Workspace, BMIDE, ITK, SOA or REST services, integration strategies, and custom extension methodologies.
  • Drive decisions between configuration and customization methods to ensure upgradeability, optimal performance, maintainability, and reuse.
  • Ensure design integrity across build, data migration, testing, deployment, transition, and support phases.
  • Collaborate with authorized security professionals to address hosting, identity, access, data management, and site compliance requirements.
  • Create architectural and quality assurance documentation suitable for formal governance and design review panels.

Candidate Profile

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in enterprise PLM roles with substantial responsibility for Siemens Teamcenter implementation and architecture.
  • Proven track record leading end-to-end Teamcenter deliveries including discovery, design, configuration, integration, migration, testing, and deployment.
  • Expert understanding of product structures, bill of materials (BOM) management, configuration management, engineering change control, workflow design, release management, effectivity, variant handling, and lifecycle governance.
  • Hands-on proficiency with Teamcenter data modeling and configuration, BMIDE, Active Workspace, ITK, and enterprise integration solutions.
  • Experience integrating Teamcenter with CAD systems and at least one ERP or manufacturing platform; familiarity with Teamcenter-to-SAP and PLM-to-MES/MOM integrations is highly valued.
  • Background in complex engineered product industries such as defense, aerospace, marine, rail, automotive, energy, industrial equipment, or similarly regulated manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong consulting aptitude, workshop facilitation expertise, stakeholder engagement competency, and technical delivery skills.
  • Capability to simultaneously operate as a pragmatic architecture lead, mentor team members, and contribute to solution development.

Benefits and Work Environment

  • Flexible work options including remote work and adaptable hours to support a healthy work-life balance.
  • Comprehensive career development initiatives focusing on continuous growth and opportunities within diverse professional tracks.
  • Opportunities to acquire valuable certifications in emerging technologies such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
