Product Information Manager

Overview

Based in Abu Dhabi, this full-time role entails overseeing the management and accuracy of product and nutritional data throughout the product lifecycle. The incumbent ensures the integrity of nutritional facts, recipes, Bills of Materials (BOMs), product specifications, ingredient data, and labeling within corporate systems, aligned with product development and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Offer nutritional expertise to support formulation, development, and commercialization of food and beverage items.
• Collaborate with Product Development teams to meet nutritional goals while preserving product quality, flavor, and cost-effectiveness.
• Propose ingredient substitutions to boost nutritional content, functionality, and cost efficiency.
• Evaluate nutritional consequences of formula modifications during product lifecycle stages.
• Calculate and validate nutritional data using authorized tools and maintain proper nutrition labels and profiles.
• Ensure compliance with food regulations and labeling standards; review and confirm health claims based on scientific and regulatory guidelines.
• Assess ingredient suitability including vitamins, minerals, proteins, fibers, sweeteners, and botanicals; track emerging nutrition science to aid innovation.
• Manage accurate recipe documentation and BOM data keeping them aligned with formulation and manufacturing needs.
• Liaise with cross-functional teams to guarantee recipe and BOM data consistency and accuracy.
• Conduct training and disseminate knowledge internally regarding nutrition labeling, regulatory updates, and health claims.
• Promote nutritional awareness and support the organization's healthier product initiatives.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of relevant experience including a minimum of 2 years in a managerial capacity.
• Comprehensive understanding of food research and product development methodologies.
• Familiarity with food safety standards, hygiene, and legislation.
• Knowledge about product stability tests and shelf-life assessment procedures.
• Sound insights into food products, manufacturing workflows, and ingredient applications pertinent to assigned categories.
