Product Designer

About the Role

Take charge of designing sophisticated software products from the initial concept phase to launch, focusing on user experience, interaction, and visual design. Integrate insights from user research, data, and business needs to refine design solutions and collaborate closely with product and engineering teams for delivery.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside product managers, engineers, user researchers, and data teams throughout the entire design lifecycle, helping to clarify problems, goals, and design scope.
• Create rapid concept prototypes and user flows informed by research and data, actively collecting stakeholder feedback and iterating designs continuously.
• Develop interfaces, graphical elements, and layouts for web-based products; manage and enhance the visual design system; and embed user input and business objectives into the product design.
• Define design direction amidst uncertainty, evaluate pertinent aspects, conduct peer design reviews, and synchronize design efforts across interconnected projects.
• Supervise design execution and product launch quality, engage in technical dialogue with Chinese-speaking teams, and assist in translating and validating technical documents to ensure a shared understanding.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience in end-to-end design of complex software products, with proven ability to harmonize UX, interaction, and visual design to align with business goals, backed by strong aesthetic judgment.
• Practical experience leveraging controlled testing and data-driven design approaches to guide product strategy and refine design decisions.
• Proficient in prototyping tools with solid product mindset. Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities, adept at listening, explaining design reasoning, and collaborating across various teams.
• Experience in building and maintaining design systems, facilitating cross-team product launches, or designing conversational AI/chatbots is highly desirable; motion design skills add advantage.
• Hands-on use of AI tools to optimize workflows and measure their impact, understanding AI risks, bias, and quality control; ongoing learning in prompt engineering, context engineering, or agent orchestration is a plus.

Additional Information

The role includes participation in technical discussions with teams fluent in Chinese, requiring translation and verification of technical documentation to ensure consistent understanding across teams.
