Product Designer Internship

About the Internship

This internship offers a hands-on opportunity as a UI/UX Designer in a product design capacity at AAAMT Verticals Private Limited, based in Hyderabad. The 6-month fully onsite (Monday to Friday) internship begins immediately and includes a stipend between INR 10,000 to 12,000 per month. Successful interns might be considered for full-time employment depending on their contributions and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop user experience elements including user flows, wireframes, UI designs, and interactive prototypes for web and mobile interfaces with tools like Figma.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—product, engineering, and business—to understand user workflows, needs, and challenges, transforming insights into effective design solutions.
• Utilize AI-powered tools to assist in design research, ideation, content organization, documentation, and automate repetitive design tasks while applying critical design judgment.
• Work closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure implementation accuracy, responsiveness, and feasibility of designs; clearly articulate design decisions.
• Conduct usability feedback sessions, identify experience pain points, and iteratively enhance the product design.
• Maintain and contribute to design systems, reusable UI components, and style guidelines to ensure consistency throughout products.
• Support UX research including competitor analysis, usability testing, and gathering behavioral insights for informed design choices.
• Apply product thinking by balancing user needs, technical constraints, and business objectives to create practical and scalable designs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Solid grasp of UI/UX fundamentals: user-centered design, visual hierarchy, typography, color theory, spacing, layout, usability, accessibility, and responsive design principles.
• Proven verbal and written communication skills capable of clarifying requirements and presenting concepts confidently.
• Problem-solving aptitude with curiosity and initiative to identify user pain points and create pragmatic design solutions.
• Proficiency with design software such as Figma or equivalent tools for creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Enthusiasm towards adopting AI-driven design technologies, large language models, and emerging tools.
• Self-motivated learner open to experimenting, adapting based on feedback, troubleshooting independently, and utilizing AI/documentation supports.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effective with multidisciplinary teams.
• Desirable: Familiarity with UX research, usability tests, customer journey mapping, product strategy, design systems, responsive design patterns, AI tools like ChatGPT or similar, basic HTML/CSS skills, and a demonstrable portfolio of UI/UX work.

Additional Information and Terms

• This is a full-time, onsite internship in Hyderabad with a Monday to Friday workweek.
• The internship is unpaid initially; however, performance-based stipends may be provided after 2-3 months.
• Interns receive an internship certificate and experience letter upon completion.

Eligibility

Applicants must be able to commit full-time to an in-office internship, be available to start between September 11 and October 16, 2026, and be prepared for a six-month engagement with relevant skills and interests.
