About Moss
Moss is a Berlin-based SaaS scale-up with a team of over 300 employees from more than 50 nationalities across five European offices. Our mission is to revolutionize SMB spend management throughout Europe by delivering a fully digital, AI-powered, and seamlessly integrated platform offering corporate cards, accounts payable, employee reimbursements, and procurement solutions. With more than 5,000 businesses across Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK relying on our product, Moss has raised €180 million from premier investors such as Valar Ventures, Tiger Global, and Global Founders Capital.
Role Overview
As a Product AI Engineer within our Product Operations team, you will collaborate directly with the Senior Product Operations Manager to transform innovative AI and large language model concepts into dependable, automated solutions tailored for internal use. Your primary focus will be developing scalable, robust AI agents and automation tools that are integral to operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop specialized AI agents for targeted business processes based on detailed briefs, ensuring high reliability and scalability.
- Manage end-to-end ownership of deployed AI systems by integrating appropriate data sources, crafting prompt designs, validating outputs, and maintaining continual operational stability.
- Oversee and sustain the configuration, documentation, and reliability of shared tooling platforms utilized by the product team.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated proficiency in building automations and integrations using no-code or low-code platforms such as n8n, Make, or Zapier.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, and JSON to connect various systems and troubleshoot integration issues effectively.
- Experience embedding LLM APIs into organizational workflows at scale, delivering robust solutions relied upon by critical business operations.
- Ability to efficiently execute tasks independently with minimal supervision once a clear direction is provided.
- Fluency in English required; German language skills are advantageous.
Preferred Attributes
- Builder mindset: passionate about creating and implementing solutions rather than defining scope or writing briefs.
- Humility paired with productivity: prioritizes excellent execution over strategy ownership while caring deeply about outcomes.
- Strong enthusiasm for AI technologies, keeping up-to-date with advancements and applying that curiosity daily.
- Highly curious and adaptable, able to quickly master new tools and platforms as needed.
- Dependability: takes full ownership of work, documents progress comprehensively, proactively identifies blockers, and ensures solutions operate reliably at scale.
Benefits and Culture
- Competitive total compensation package including equity participation.
- Dynamic and collaborative office environment in the heart of Berlin, facilitating engagement through weekly breakfasts and Friday demos.
- Additional perks such as 20 days work-from-abroad, a learning and development budget of €600/£600, and other local benefits.
Our culture thrives on impact and rapid progress, providing an environment where bold decisions, continuous learning, and career acceleration are encouraged. Note that benefits primarily apply to full-time personnel, with bespoke packages crafted for interns and working students.
