Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a tidy, well-organized, and clearly zoned produce area to keep it customer-ready at all times.
• Regularly check product quality by rotating stock and removing expired items to guarantee freshness.
• Ensure pricing is accurate and signage is correctly displayed, following proper protocols for ordering, discounts, labeling, and signage adjustments.
• Adhere to food safety and cold chain regulations including temperature monitoring, hygienic handling, and compliance with sell-by and expiration dates.
• Stock and downstock merchandise as necessary, apply protective measures to products, and arrange modular displays including flex modulars and shelf caps to fully stock the department.
• Follow all health and safety policies to maintain a clean, safe workplace.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working varied shifts such as evenings, weekends, and holidays to support store operations.

Challenges in the Role

• Manage a high-volume, fast-paced workload efficiently, especially during overnight shifts, maintaining energy and focus throughout.
• Perform physically demanding tasks including prolonged standing, bending, and lifting items up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Repeat stocking, zoning, and organizing duties with consistency and meticulous attention to store presentation standards.

Compensation

The starting pay rate for this position is $16.35 per hour.
