Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and clear zoning in the produce department to ensure it is customer-ready at all times.
- Conduct regular product rotation and remove any expired stock to guarantee freshness and maintain quality standards.
- Verify that all produce items are accurately priced and properly signed, managing ordering, clearances, markups, markdowns, labeling, and signage correctly.
- Adhere strictly to food safety, sanitation, and cold chain protocols, including monitoring temperatures, using thermometers, handling food properly, and respecting sell-by and expiration dates.
- Stock and downstock merchandise as needed, implement product protection when necessary, and set up modular displays such as flex modulars and shelf caps to keep shelves fully stocked.
- Observe all health and safety policies to maintain a safe, clean work environment.
- Be flexible and willing to work diverse shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet operational needs and ensure consistent customer service.
Challenges in the Role
- Handle a high volume of tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during overnight shifts, requiring good planning to stay alert and effective.
- Manage extensive restocking and recovery duties accurately and promptly despite the workload intensity.
- Meet physical demands such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting items up to 20 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Perform repetitive stock-related tasks with precision and consistency to maintain store standards.

Salary
The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.45.
