Key Responsibilities

• Verify that all produce items are accurately priced and properly signed, managing ordering, clearances, markups, markdowns, labeling, and signage correctly.
• Adhere strictly to food safety, sanitation, and cold chain protocols, including monitoring temperatures, using thermometers, handling food properly, and respecting sell-by and expiration dates.
• Stock and downstock merchandise as needed, implement product protection when necessary, and set up modular displays such as flex modulars and shelf caps to keep shelves fully stocked.
• Observe all health and safety policies to maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Be flexible and willing to work diverse shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet operational needs and ensure consistent customer service.

Challenges in the Role

• Handle a high volume of tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during overnight shifts, requiring good planning to stay alert and effective.
• Manage extensive restocking and recovery duties accurately and promptly despite the workload intensity.
• Meet physical demands such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting items up to 20 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Salary

The starting hourly wage for this position is $16.45.
