Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the produce department, ensuring areas are attractively zoned and ready for customer visits at all times.
• Regularly rotate produce items and remove any expired stock to guarantee freshness and quality standards.
• Ensure all produce is correctly priced and labeled, adhering to procedures for pricing adjustments, signage, and product clearance.
• Comply with food safety protocols, including temperature monitoring, correct use of thermometers, proper handling, and observing expiration guidelines.
• Manage stocking and down-stocking duties, apply product protections where necessary, and arrange modular displays to keep inventory fully available.
• Adhere to health and safety rules to maintain a secure and tidy working environment.
• Demonstrate scheduling flexibility by working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet store operational needs.

Challenges in the Position

• Handle significant job volume efficiently in a fast-paced environment, especially during overnight shifts, while managing energy and focus.
• Undertake physical activities requiring standing for extended durations, bending, and lifting items up to 50 lbs., performing repetitive stocking and organizing tasks with meticulous attention.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $18.40 per hour.
