Job Overview

The Procurement Specialist at Mowasalat Qatar is integral to advancing the company's mission of providing agile, safe, and sustainable transportation solutions. This role focuses on ensuring timely, cost-efficient procurement of goods and services, managing supplier relationships, supporting inventory oversight, and upholding procurement policies and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the purchase requisition process, verifying accuracy and policy adherence.
• Select vendors strategically based on pricing, quality, quantity, and delivery considerations.
• Oversee purchase order preparation and tracking to secure timely delivery and minimize risks.
• Build and sustain strong supplier partnerships through effective communication and negotiations.
• Conduct contract negotiations to obtain favorable terms and manage supplier performance evaluations and development initiatives.
• Support inventory control by monitoring stock levels, analyzing trends, and promoting cost-efficient stock management practices.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements, while identifying and mitigating procurement-related risks.
• Contribute to business continuity efforts to maintain seamless procurement operations.
• Compile procurement reports detailing performance metrics, supplier evaluations, and market insights.
• Analyze procurement data to identify trends and recommend enhancements to processes.
• Maintain strict confidentiality to protect sensitive company information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is required.
• A minimum of seven years' experience in procurement or a relevant field.
• Preferred certifications include Certified Procurement Professional (CPP), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), among others.
